Web Design
Description: Using my extensive design experience and the latest web technologies I am able to build great looking, usable websites. I ensure all sites are accessible to the widest possible audience, easily updatable, and meet business objectives.
Publications
Description: I have created one page product sheets, brochures, newsletters, magazines, newspapers, white papers, reports, and books. Besides the cover I usually choose to make these designs subtle. The more type there is the more I try to make it unobtrusive. My goal is to not have the design get in the way of the message. I accomplish this goal primarily by using consistent typography that conveys a logical hierarchy, and by keeping the design as simple as possible. Consistency can be a challenge on long documents. I have found that being systematic, using the software to its fullest (style sheets, and master pages), and good project management is essential.
Logos
Description: When I develop a logo I carefully consider the needs of a client, the existing brand identity of both the clients and the competition and the expectations of customers. I strive for simple, bold, logo that works well in all sizes, and is appropriate for the business. I also design flexible systems that work well in a wide variety of conditions.
Illustration
Description: In addition to my work as a designer I have used my illustration skills to enhance various projects. I have experience with medical, technical, and conceptual drawings.
Advertising Design
Description: I have designed many direct mail, newspaper and magazine ads. Unlike publications advertisements I try to get the attention of the intended audience. I usually do this with a photograph, illustration, or catchy headline.
